New Website

December 18th, 2009 - General, Web Design/Development

I’m finishing up final text edits for a massage therapy website I’m working on and then it’ll be time to go live. It’s a simple but clean website which will nicely portray the relaxed atmosphere of her massage company.

I’m excited for the possibility of snow this weekend. It’s been a long time since we’ve had any significant snow in Hampton Roads. The problem is that I was planning on going to Busch Gardens’ Christmas town this weekend and also finish up my Christmas shopping so I’d rather the snow wait until Monday. :) That doesn’t seem likely though.

On another note – we had our annual Christmas party/potluck at work and there was an awesome dessert dish that I have to share.

Happenings…

December 12th, 2009 - General

I just wanted to do an update since it’s been a while. Life’s been good but busy. I’ve been busy shopping, working, fixing up the house – the usual. Of course busy having fun too. :) Going to a game night tonight, celebrating my sister’s birthday tomorrow, and next week – Christmas Town @ Busch Gardens!

Las Vegas – Microsoft SharePoint Conference 2009

October 28th, 2009 - General, Web Design/Development

Last week I went to a SharePoint conference in Las Vegas. It was pretty cool. I learned a lot about the upcoming SharePoint 2010. Unfortunately, I know we won’t get it at work for a long time but I do like SP 2010 much better than 2007. I really enjoyed the real world experiences shared by various companies such as Electronic Arts, Kraft, and more.

It was my (and my husband’s) first time in Las Vegas. It was an experience for sure. We aren’t really the “party” type so we enjoyed the outdoor excursions more than walking the strip. We visited Red Rock Canyon and the Hoover Dam. The hotels were neat to check out especially the Venetian and the Fountains at the Bellagio. We stayed at Mandalay Bay and I have to say that it (to us at least) was the best hotel/casino on the strip. The only exception might be the Wynn. I heard that was very nice but we didn’t have a chance to go inside.

Flash Work & New RevoVision Site

October 9th, 2009 - General

I’m currently working on some flash work (freelance).  I like that this particular job is making me become better at ActionScripting which is nice.  Because it’s a freelance job (for another company), I can’t link to the actual flash but it’s pretty sweet.  Some cool animation.  Maybe I’ll do something similar for this site…

Also we (RevoVision) are currently redesigning the RevoVision site.  We want to make it cleaner and simpler looking.  Hopefully everyone will like it.

… now back to work. ;)

Just Upgraded!

July 12th, 2009 - General

I just upgraded wordpress to the newest version.  I’ve also finally downloaded whiteboard so that I can start customizing the blog – finally.  I’ve been meaning to do this for a while but have been busy – with getting married, honeymoon, school, work, and the business!

I hope to get to it sometime.  In the meantime, enjoy the old theme. :)
